Cancellation policy
Plans change — here's exactly how cancellations work when you book directly at sugarloafbasecamp.com. Timing is measured against your scheduled check-in time (4:00 PM Eastern on your arrival day).
If you cancel
- 14 or more days before check-in: full refund of everything you paid, including the cleaning fee and taxes.
- 7 to 13 days before check-in: 50% refund of the nightly subtotal, plus a full refund of the cleaning fee and taxes.
- Less than 7 days before check-in (or after check-in): no refund of the nightly subtotal; the cleaning fee is refunded if you cancel before check-in.
Booking requests
If your booking is a pending request the host hasn't approved yet, you can withdraw it any time at no cost — your card was only authorized, never charged, and the hold is released automatically if a request is declined or expires.
If the host cancels
In the rare case we have to cancel your confirmed stay (for example, a double-booking conflict or the home becoming uninhabitable), you receive a full refund of everything you paid, issued promptly to your original payment method.
How to cancel
Message us from your trip page (the link in your confirmation email) or reply to any booking email. Refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
