Rental terms
These terms apply to every stay booked at sugarloafbasecamp.com. By completing a booking you (the “guest”) agree to them on behalf of everyone in your party.
The booking
- Your reservation covers the entire townhouse for the dates booked, for no more than the number of guests stated at checkout (maximum occupancy: 7 overnight guests).
- Check-in is after 4:00 PM and checkout by 10:00 AM Eastern unless we agree otherwise in writing (the trip-page message thread counts).
- Bookings made as a request are not confirmed until the host approves them; your card is authorized but not charged until approval.
House rules
- No smoking anywhere on the property.
- No pets.
- No parties or events; quiet hours after 10:00 PM.
- The locked owner's storage closet and any items marked as owner's property are not part of the rental.
Care of the home & liability
- You agree to leave the home in substantially the condition you found it and to report damage promptly. You are financially responsible for damage beyond normal wear and tear caused by your party.
- Ski areas, hot tubs, decks, stairs, and Maine winters carry inherent risks. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you use the property and its surroundings at your own risk, and the owner is not liable for injuries or loss of personal property during your stay.
- The owner may enter the property in an emergency or, with reasonable notice, for necessary repairs.
Payments & cancellations
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Cancellations and refunds follow our cancellation policy. Rates include Maine state lodging tax.
Breaking the rules
Violating these terms (exceeding occupancy, smoking, parties) may result in the stay being ended early without refund, plus recovery of actual damages such as additional cleaning.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
